Grassroots Organization Leads Peer Support Groups at Thryve Day Center in Colusa

(August 23, 2026) - Colusa County Recovery has brought its successful peer-based recovery model to the Thryve Day Center in Colusa, located at 761 Main Street in Colusa.

This expansion provides increased access to vital support for individuals facing life challenges, housing insecurities, and those on their recovery journey.

"We provide facilitated weekly community-support on Thursdays at the Thryve Day Center at 11:00am to noon and socialize afterwards," says Susan Wagenaar, founder of Colusa County Recovery (CCR). "Our groups offer a supportive environment where individuals can connect with others, share lived experiences, and build a strong support network."

Currently, CCR reaches over 25,000 people annually through their two websites and another 23,000 subscribers on their YouTube channel "Clean and Sober Nation".

In addition to the peer support meetings, the Thryve Day Center offers a variety of other valuable resources and services to support individuals in their overall recovery and wellness journey.
