Colusa County Recovery is bringing its successful peer-based recovery model to the Thryve Day Center in Colusa, scheduled to open in the summer of 2025.

This expansion will provide increased access to vital recovery support for individuals facing addiction challenges and those on their recovery journey.
"We are excited to provide facilitated recovery-support meetings at the Thryve Day Center," says Susan Wagenaar, founder of Colusa County Recovery (CCR).
Currently, CCR reaches 25,000 people online through their recovery support communities, with another 1,200 a month on its websites, and roughly 130 people annually across the county. "Being part of Thryve will definitely expand our capacity to support more community members struggling with substance use challenges or homelessness," reports Wagenaar.
CCR, the county's largest community-based peer support provider, has been facilitating strength-based, person centered peer support groups at the Colusa County Day Reporting Center for over two years. "This amazing experience has provided valuable insights into the ability of peer support to foster community, resilience, and to help prevent relapse," says Wagenaar. "Our groups at the Thryve Day Center will offer a supportive environment where individuals can connect with others, share lived experiences, and build a strong foundation for recovery."
In addition to the peer support meetings, the Thryve Day Center will offer a variety of other valuable resources and services to support individuals in their overall wellness journey.
These include:
Comprehensive Support: Whether you're seeking support with housing or nutritional guidance, Thryve is here to help you build a strong foundation.
Life Skills Development: Thryve provides opportunities to develop essential life skills, such as budgeting, communication, and problem-solving.
Digital Literacy: Need help navigating the digital world? Thryve has got you covered.
Community and Connection: If you're simply looking for a safe and welcoming space to connect with others, build meaningful relationships, and cultivate self-love, Thryve's doors are open.
Workshops and Empowerment: Thryve offers a variety of workshops on topics like relationship building, self-care, and nutrition, as well as specialized workshops focusing on conflict resolution, stress reduction, and many more — all designed to empower you on your journey to wellness.
Colusa County Recovery extends a warm invitation to join them at the Thryve Day Center, opening next year at 761 Main Street in Colusa.
