Your Voice Matters: Actionable Resources

U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)

If you suspect misconduct or improper use of HUD homeless funding, you can report it through several channels provided by the HUD Office of Inspector General (OIG).

 

File a Grievance Locally

HUD funds a variety of programs aimed at addressing homelessness including our local Continuum of Care program (CoC) - Dos Rios - which is responsible for community-wide planning and strategic resource use to address homelessness in Colusa County​. In addition to contacting HUD we recommend reporting a homeless related services grievance with: Glenn County Community Action Department, which serves as the lead agency for Dos Rios CoC. Contact The Colusa County Board of Supervisors

You can file a complaint with the Colusa County Board of Supervisors to report a local provider of homeless assistance services by using the "Request For County Board of Supervisors Action" form, available on the County of Colusa (.gov) website.

To report suspected waste, fraud, or abuse related to homeless funding in the state of California, you can contact the California State Auditor's Whistleblower Hotline or the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) Fraud Hotline:  (800) 952-5665 or (619) 738-9525. The hotline is staffed Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Voicemail messages can be left outside of these hours.
